Nadir R. Farid

Professor Nadir R. Farid began his academic career at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. He became Professor of Medicine and Endocrinology in 1984 and of Cell Sciences in 1989. He is an internationally recognised investigative and clinical endocrinologist who has trained many scientists, internists and endocrinologists, and described or redefined a number of clinical syndromes. His specialist interests are the genetics of endocrine disorders and the molecular basis of thyroid cancer. He has edited five books and published in excess of 450 scientific papers, reviews and chapters. He is founder and CEO of Osancor Biotech Inc and consultant at 119 Harley Street and the Wellington Hospital, both in London, England.
