Delirium
Lauren Oliver has once again shown why she is the NBT (next big thing) in YAD fiction. I cannot praise Delirium more highly for its tight plot, incredible emotional pull and effortless writing. My heart went out to our beautiful Lena as she struggled against society’s teaching that love was a disease and considered a failing. Echoing much of our own conservative struggles in society today, it is a true testament to the need to follow your own needs and desires and consider your own happiness rather than try to be ‘one of the crowd’. A wonderful morality tale and, even better, a gripping and fascinating story.
