Akio Shibata

Akio Shibata was born in Nakatsugawa, Gifu Prefecture, in 1942. During his time as manager of Nagoya Terminal Hotel, he turned the hotel around from a four-year red streak and achieved a seven-year profit streak. He has since founded the non-profit Associa Shiyuukan, and works as its board chairman to bring about a society overflowing with bonds, kindness, and warmth through lectures, event planning, writing, and other efforts.
