Bent Rej was born in Denmark and started working as a photographer for one of Denmark's leading newspapers in the early 1960s. In 1965, he began taking pictures of rock and pop stars, which is when he met and got to know The Rolling Stones as friends. He is also a highly acclaimed garden and flower photographer, as well as being an acknowledged expert on architecture.
