Cephas Goldsworthy, who was born in 1943 and educated at Oxford University, was a Barrister (QC) who specialised in murder and commercial fraud and then became a Recorder between 1987 and 1997. His wide range of interests included restoring antiques and music he played the flute and cimbalom as well as 17th-century history. He died in June 2000, shortly after finishing this biography.
