Clive Tyldesley

Born in Lancashire in 1954, Clive Tyldesley is a television sports broadcaster. He was ITV's senior football commentator for 22 years, succeeding Brian Moore after the 1998 World Cup final. In that role, he led the commentary team at the subsequent four World Cups and four European Championships, and been lead commentator on the last 17 UEFA Champions League finals as well as taking the microphone at nine FA Cup finals. He won the prestigious Royal Television Society Sports Commentator of the Year in 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2005, and was voted the Sony Radio Awards' Sports Broadcaster of the Year in 1983.
