He was recently named one of Fashionista's 50 Most Influential People in Fashion and is known as the man behind most of Seventh Avenue's most prestigious fashion companies, providing financing for many iconic designer names. In addition, Wassner is a well-respected author, writing both fantasy and children's books and is best-known for his Gemquest series.
