Katherine Roberts
Katherine Roberts won the Branford Boase Award in 2000 for her first children's book Song Quest. She has since written many books for children including I am the Great Horse, which was longlisted for the 2008 Carnegie Medal, as well as numerous fantasy and science fiction stories for adults. She worked with racehorses for 10 years and still enjoys riding for pleasure.
