Nette Hilton is an established author of children s literature and has won several awards for her books, which range from early childhood stories to novels for older readers. She has also written three adult thrillers. Her books published with Lothian include A Grave Catastrophe for the Takeaways series, The Hicksville Horror for the After Dark series, and In My Backyard, shortlisted for the CBCA Picture Book of the Year award. Nette writes from her New South Wales North Coast farm and works part-time in a primary school, a career that has spanned thirty-four years. She is also involved in workshops and author talks at many writing venues around the country.
Vincent Agostino was born in Melbourne and started to win art competitions at the age of seven. He studied graphics and illustration, graduating in 2004, and is now one half of the design team Regal Color, and a former committee member of Illustrators Australia. Vincent s first picture book was When Elephants Lived in the Sea (2005) written by Jane Godwin, which won Vince the CBCA Crichton Award for best new illustrator in 2006. Vincent lives in Northcote, Victoria.
