Father Pat Connor, a 79-year-old Catholic priest born in Australia and based in New Jersey, as well as spending nine years as a missionary in India. His decades of marriage counselling led him to distil common sense advice about how to dodge mates who would ruin your happiness, first into his lecture and then into his book.
