Pepi Leistyna

Pepi Leistyna Pepi Leistyna is assistant professor at the University of Massachusetts at Boston, in the Department of ESL/Bilingual Studies, where he teaches courses in cultural studies and language acquisition. A recent graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Leistyna's research has centreed around issues of language and experience, democracy and education, and the implementation of critical multicultural curricula in public schools. He conceptualized and coedited Breaking Free: The Transformational Power of Critical Pedagogy.
