PWMU Committee

The Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union (PWMU) in Victoria was formed in 1890. To raise funds it was decided a cookery book would be produced and the first was compiled in 1904 under the name Home Cookery for Australia. Since then, subsequent editions of this work, now called The PWMU Cookbook, have been managed by a PWMU committee. Their role is to ensure the cookbook continues to entice people into the kitchen and enjoy the benefits of their labour.
