Rebecca Burgess is an overly enthusiastic comic nerd, currently living in Bristol with her girlfriend and beloved cat. Her clients include the Guardian, Beano and Jessica Kingsley Publishing. She has a passion for history and music, which has leaked into much personal work, including a contribution to the Soaring Penguin Press anthology To End All Wars, and Letters to England which won the Jiman award in 2011. She is probably most famous for her personal 'Understanding The Spectrum' comic, an educational comic about autism that went viral in 2016. This comic, along with her other short comics and illustrations made on the subject, continue to be used over the internet and within classrooms and hospitals across the world as a free resource to help explain autism, whilst also being published within several educational books.
