Sofie Laguna

Sofie Laguna is an author, actor and playwright. Her books for children include My Yellow Blanky (a CBCA Notable Book 2003), Too Loud Lily (a CBCA Honour Book 2003, shortlisted for the Queensland Premiers Literary Prize), Bad Buster, Surviving Aunt Marsha, Big Ned's Bushwalk (a CBCA Notable Book 2006) and Bird and Sugar Boy.

Anna Pignataro studied Design and Fine Art in Melbourne then travelled the world painting and drawing. She also taught art to children for several years and exhibits regularly in galleries around Australia and overseas. Her first picture book, I m in the Sky and I Can t Come Back, was joint winner of the Crichton Award (with Shaun Tan s The Viewer) in 1998. The Staircase Cat was shortlisted for CBCA Picture Book of the Year in 1999 and the YABBA Awards in 2000 and Unknown was a CBCA Notable Book in 2001 and published in the USA. Her previous Lothian picture books are The Very Super Adventures of Nic and Naomi by Venero Armanno, Delightful Delilah, by Nigel Gray; Loni and the Moon by Esther Takac; The Great Big Animal Ask by Libby Hathorn and The Friends of Apple Street, which she wrote herself.
