Vanora Bennett

Vanora Bennett writes for The Times of London. As Moscow correspondent of the Los Angeles Times, she won an Overseas Press Club of America award in 1997 for her reporting of post-Soviet Russia. She is the author of CRYING WOLF: THE RETURN OF WAR TO CHECHNYA (Picador 1998). Born in 1962, she read Russian and French at Oxford and has worked as a foreign correspondent for Reuters in France and southern Africa. She now lives in London with her husband and two sons.
