Gabrielle Lord's first novel FORTRESS was translated into numerous languages and made into a successful film. Since then she has published a number of best-sellers, including LETHAL FACTOR, BABY DID A BAD BAD THING, DEATH DELIGHTS, FEEDING THE DEMONS, THE SHARP END, WHIPPING BOY, TOOTH AND CLAW and JUMBO. She has adapted several of her novels for the screen. DEATH DELIGHTS won the 2002 Ned Kelly Award for Best Crime Novel, and BABY DID A BAD BAD THING was joint-winner in the 2003 Davitt Award for crime writing and was shortlisted for the Ned Kelly Award for Best Crime Novel 2003. Since then she has written SPIKING THE GIRL, LETHAL FACTOR, DIRTY WEEKEND and SHATTERED, as well as her latest in the Gemma Lincoln PI series, DEATH BY BEAUTY.

She has also written a 17 book series CONSPIRACY 365 and BLACK OPS TRILOGY for younger readers. The CONSPIRACY 365 series was adapted for a Foxtel/Circa Productions television series. She was awarded a Ned Kelly Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.
