Hachette Australia remembers Sarah Watt, author and filmmaker.
Sarah Watt died on Friday morning, 4 November, in her home surrounded by her family after living with secondary bone cancer for the last two years. Her life was filled with writing, filmmaking, photography, painting and drawing, and most of all, her family, William McInnes, Clem and Stella, their children. Sarah and William collaborated on the award-winning film Look Both Ways and recently on the book Worse Things Happen at Sea, which celebrates life and puts death into the context of living. Sarah also wrote and illustrated the children’s book Clem Always Could. Everyone at Hachette Australia sends their thoughts to William, Clem and Stella and Sarah’s mother and sisters at this very sad time.

The third edition of the Encyclopedia of Science Fiction, the definitive reference work in the field, will be released online later this year by the newly-formed ESF, Ltd, in association with Victor Gollancz, the SF & Fantasy imprint of the Orion Publishing Group, whose support will enable the text to be available free to all users.
