Adrian Mitchell was one of the UK's leading poets and playwrights for adults and children. He performed his poems all over the world, in schools, libraries, factories, prisons, hospitals, theatres, playgrounds . . . Adrian was born near Hampstead Heath and lived most of his life within walking distance of the Heath. He was often seen out walking there with his labrador, the Dog of Peace. Adrian died in December 2008 at the age of 76.
