Arif Ahmed is a Professor of Philosophy at Cambridge University and a long-time campaigner for free speech.
In 2020 he led a successful rebellion against the University authorities, leading to Cambridge adopting a more liberal free speech policy. In the 2021 Queen's Birthday Honours he was made MBE for services to Higher Education. He has written numerous articles on freedom of expression, and given several interviews, for publications including the Telegraph, The Times, Spiked, Unherd, Index on Censorship and the HEPI Blog.
