Juliana Buhring

Juliana Buhring is the first woman to circumnavigate the world by bicycle, a Guinness World Record holder and bestselling author.

In 2011, at the age of 30, Juliana started cycling. Less than a year after her world cycle she was placed 9th, and was the sole woman to compete, in the 2013 Transcontinental Race, which is Europe's longest, toughest unsupported bike race, running from London to Istanbul. In 2014, she won the first edition of the Trans Am Bike Race (women) and was placed 4th overall, riding 7,137 kilometres (4,435 miles) in 20 days and 23 hours. She is considered one of the strongest female ultra-endurance cyclists in the world. In 2016, she will compete in the Race Across America (RAAM), one of the most respected and longest running endurance sports events in the world.

Her first book, Not Without My Sister, was an international bestseller.
