Trish Deseine is originally from Ireland and has been living in France for 25 years. Since being approached by Hachette to write her first cookbook, Petits Plats entre Amis, in 2000, her unabashed love of eating and cooking, with a penchant for chocolate, has made her one of France and Ireland's best loved food writers. She has published over 15 books in English and French which have won many awards, sold hundreds of thousands of copies and been translated into many languages, and presented three RTE TV cookery series which have broadcast by BBC Lifestyle worldwide. Trish has written for ELLE France, Image Ireland, Le Fooding, Wallpaper, The Guardian and The Observer Food Monthly and contributes regularly to The Irish Times. In 2010 she was named one of French Vogue's 50 Women of the decade.
