At its heart, this anthology is about memory, family, Country, cultural commemoration, contemporary experience, survival, self-determination and the authority of First Nations storytelling. These voices, and ways of being, walk alongside forms of expression that hold power and the essence of story and poetic expression. All that holds Water is Life reveals the intimate nature of contemporary Northern Territory life and exposes the limited opportunities that regional and remote First Nations writers face. This work is a continuum of significant literature and is a record of the First Nations voices of now.
