To the doctors and nurses at the galactic hospital Sector General, Cha Thrat was just another trainee. Nothing unusual in that as they arrived regularly. But Cha Thrat is finding life at Sector General much more unnerving than she expected. Her world was only recently discovered by the Galactic Federation, so being faced with numerous alien species is overwhelming. And no one knew what to expect from her.

Cha Thrat is a skilled healer and, according to her world's strict medical ethics, highly responsible. But her best intentions only seem to cause chaos and catastrophe. And even after she was banned from just about every ward on Sector General, it was surprising how much havoc one nurse trainee could cause.
