Not That Kind of Family
Formats & Editions
A high-stakes Australian domestic noir about the twisted secrets hidden behind the gates of Sydney's most exclusive address. From the bestselling author of See How They Fall.
At Eden, the Kirkwood family estate in Point Piper, everything must be perfect. For Belle's eighteenth, her mother Margot has staged an unforgettable en blanc celebration: white flowers, champagne, the harbour glittering beyond the lawn - and the city's most powerful people gathered.
By morning, someone is dead. Every member of the family is hiding something, and every revelation changes the shape of the crime.
Belle is concealing the truth about an illicit delivery during the party. Margot's sister Sophie is burdened by the memory of a vicious argument. And for TJ, a young tradie from the other side of town, one bad decision might cost him his family. He becomes the perfect suspect, having walked into the wrong bedroom at exactly the wrong moment.
As online true-crime detectives, media speculation, and police scrutiny close in, the question is not simply who is responsible, but who will be believed - at what price?
A sharply observed, emotional drama about the kind of family that everyone wants to be - until the truth comes out. Enter a world of privilege and watch it burn...
