I'm just going to put it out there, Louis is a bit of a major dick. But in a sweet kind of way? I mean, he's nice to a select few, and then the biggest douche to the rest of the world's population. It has left me conflicted as to whether or not I actually like him... Then there is Claire, and she is super sweet and kind person, and it's adorable to read her excitement over everything Paris related. They are both good people at heart - though he brings out the rebellious side in her, and she the best in him. So, maybe I like Louis for Claire, but I'm still on the fence in general terms. I thoroughly enjoyed Paris Lights. It is witty and funny, frustrating and lustful, and many other destinations on The Rollercoast of Emotions. I have always loved how well Duggan writes her supporting characters, and she has not disappointed this time around. There is just something about it that just makes the story feel that much more real, and I love it. Paris Lights is the first instalment in the Heart of the City series, and it has set an amazing precedent for the books to follow.
