For more than four decades, Craig Bergmann has been recognized for intertwining design, horticulture, and architecture, establishing a true dialogue between the garden and the architectural site. Epitomizing his approach, The Gardens at 900 his residence, studio, and shop in Lake Forest was originally designed for the Armour family in 1917 and was reimagined by Bergmann as a series of lush private garden rooms with hedges, towering topiary and perennial borders and interspersed with classical figures and ornament.
