Voted #1 in the Dymocks Kids' Top 51
'Fearsome, funny and original, it's requisite reading for fantasy lovers of all ages.' - Libby Hathorn, CBCA Award-winning author of Thunderwith
'It really is brilliant, with an engaging plot, plenty of twists, memorable characters and a marvellous sense of humour. Pick it up and the hours disappear, just like magic.' - Daily Telegraph
'An exciting and charming middle-grade read that will hook readers aged 10 and up with intricate imaginative detail and its sheer energy ... a compulsively readable romp.' - Books and Publishing
There is more extraordinary world-building, as well as tough ethical decisions, in Wundersmith, Jessica Townsend's superlative follow-up to the unmissable Nevermoor. - The Guardian
Enter the world of Nevermoor and its fantastical inhabitants, and be utterly enchanted. - Courier-Mail
Inventive, thoughtful, and an outrageous amount of fun, Townsend is now two for two in the Nevermoor series, and there's likely to be thousands of children (and, okay, a lot of adults too) dying to see what Morrigan Crow gets up to next. - The Au Review
Townsend's sophomore endeavor once again fully immerses her readers in a world that intermixes the magic of the Emerald City with Howl's pithiness, Percy Jackson's humor, Coraline's darkness, and perhaps a dash of the depravity of Katniss' District One. Fantasy fans will not be disappointed. Savvy readers will appreciate how the themes of otherness, group privilege, prejudice, and activism are masterfully interwoven into the overall plot. The only sad spot in an otherwise enjoyable text is the hanging question: How long until Book 3 comes out? A worthy title that deserves a spot on the fantasy shelves. - Kirkus
An absolutely amazing book! I fell in love with this series when my mum bought the first book for me and have impatiently awaited the release of this book and I must say, it serpassed my expetantions! I recommend this book series to anyone who enjoys Harry Potter or any type of fantasy novel! Absolutely phenomenal! Qudos to the amazing Aussie author ??
