Dolphin Diaries, For National Curriculum Key Stage 2, Interest age: from c 9 years, Fiction, General fiction (Children's / Teenage)

Still in the Bahamas, Jody is visiting Dolphin Haven where three expectant mother dolphins are about to give birth. But for one of the three there is concern, too. None of her babies have survived before now - this could be her last chance to finally become a mum . . .

Still in the Bahamas, Dolphin Dreamer has been diverted off course by a phone call - inviting the crew to help at the births of three baby dolphins. Jody is delighted - this is the experience of a lifetime for her! Arriving at Dolphin Haven, Jody and her family, along with Brittany, meet Dan and Alicia Summers, whose three expectant dolphin mums - Bella, Misty and Evie - are nearly ready to give birth. But there are complications ahead - Evie has been pregnant several times before, and her calves have never lived. This is Evie's last chance to finally become a mum, and everyone is worried that something will go wrong again. Jody's not sure she can bear to see Evie losing her baby - but she's going to be there for her, whatever happens . . .
