'I remember when I was first handed the manuscript for Lost & Found by one of our account managers. They knew Brooke as a bookseller and as a friend, and so I was very lucky that they shared it with me. I read it over a weekend and could not put the pages down. I laughed and cried and felt wiser when I finished reading. I was in awe of Brooke’s talent and the way she could take a simple, everyday moment and imbue it with such profound insight into the human condition. I fell instantly in love with Millie and Agatha and Karl the Touch Typist. I remember sitting quietly when I finished because I knew I had just read something very special. It is an incredible novel that manages to explore grief and loneliness and sex with truth and humour. I immediately sent a message to the person who shared the manuscript with me and said we had to publish this book!!!!!!!! I used lots of exclamation points. And when I was lucky enough to meet this brilliant writer in person, I used even more exclamation points. What a gift it is when your job allows you to work with magnificent, talented, inspiring people. Brooke Davis is one of those people.'
