Robert Holdstock gave up his career in medical zoological research to be a full-time writer. His first novel Ryhope Wood and his most famous work, MYTHAGO WOOD, won the World Fantasy Award in 1985. He lives in London, collects masks and escapes to the wildwoods whenever he can.
