A long time ago, when I was MUCH younger, I read the novelisation of Star Wars. The movie was slow to open in New Zealand, but I just had to know the story!
So, I was already in love with the characters and story before even seeing the movie. It finally opened in NZ, 7 months after the May release!
I even already had the action figures by then. (And thousands of them now)
The movie, blew my mind and changed my life. It might be the closest I get to having a religion.
Star Wars is a feeling.
It’s the comfort you feel when you hear the beginning of the theme song playing over the opening crawl. It’s the yellow on black and the glowing blue lightsaber.
It brings me joy.
